The Society's calendars lists events in Southern California, focusing on the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas, that relate to music of the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods.

To qualify for a listing in our early music event calendars, the concert or event must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Features music of the Medieval, Renaissance and/or Baroque periods. OR​

Features contemporary works performed on early music instruments. OR​
-
Features music of the Classical or Romantic periods in a historically informed performance on period instruments. OR​
-
Other events related to the categories above.​

4:00 New World Ensemble: From Spain to Mexico. An afternoon of Baroque music, including selections by Milan, Mudarra, Sanz, Guereau, and de Murcia, performed on copies of period instruments. 8:00 Arts Chamber Music Series: Riccio Chamber Ensemble. The performance includes the Suite from "Alcina" by Handel, Sinfonia from Cantata BWV 42 and Orchestral Suite No. 1 in C Major by Bach, and opera arias by Handel featuring Soprano Catherine Janson.
