Southern California Early Music Society, is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization
which supports the study, performance and enjoyment of Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and Classical music. Members include
ardent listeners, concert-goers, scholars, collectors, instrument builders and musicians... from amateurs to professionals.
Our publication Early Music News, provides an extensive calendar of early music concerts, workshops and classes throughout
the Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Orange County areas, as well as articles, CD reviews, and notices of gatherings for informal
music-making.
Member benefits include ticket discounts to SCEMS events and to those of many local ensembles, invitations to parties
and post-concert receptions, news of sing- & play-alongs, lecture-demonstrations and varied volunteer opportunities.
